Providing leadership on climate change
Awareness of climate change and its implications for the global community has increased over the recent past. So much so that it is no longer the preserve of scientists, students and environmental campaigners in developed countries. In some circles, the discusssion has shifted from which industries are responsible in developed countries and why developing countries should refrain for using their natural resources in order to support affluence in developed countries. Now, there is greater concern about what can be done to minimise the impact of climate change on lives and livelihoods in developing and development countries. What actions (simple, but effective) can be taken by individuals, households, communities and businesses dominate many conversations on climate change. The focus is on taking ACTION rather than merely engaging in discussion.
On this website particular attention is paid to what businesses can do to reduce their ecological footprint through more effecient use of resources such as energy and water and management of waste.
